How much you can lose in eight weeks of time totally depends on
you. It can depend on your weight to start with, your food intake and
your activity level.
You also want to make sure and lose weight at a healthy rate and not too quickly because losing weight to quickly is not very good for your body.
If you plan to lose weight at a safe and healthy rate, then you can lose about 2 to 3 pounds a week. This would total up to about 16 to 24 pounds in an 8 week period.
Usually the first week of dieting and exercising will produce a larger number because you will lose excess fluids that are hanging on to your body.
So this could easily bring that number up to more than 30 lbs for the first two months of weight loss. It just depends on how much bloat and fluid your body usually holds.
The first step to losing weight is to change your diet.
You need to think about the foods that you eat now and figure out how to change them to better your weight and health. You will need to completely stop eating those fried and fatty foods.
Fried foods are not only bad for your weight but they are very un-healthy for you as well.
That junk food that most of us simply love has got to go by the wayside. The chips, candy, ice cream and cookies will not help you any when trying to lose weight, they will only hurt you.
Fruits and vegetables are excellent and you cannot go wrong with any of them. Eating salads is an excellent idea for any meal.
You can use all types of vegetables in your salad to give that extra yummy factor.
Salad dressings are another story though.
Even the fat free ones are not that good for you. You can however squeeze a bit of lemon or lime on top of your salad for flavor. If you must use salad dressing, choose the "light" and use very little.
If you need a sweet treat, a good piece of sweet fruit can help curb that craving. You can also add fruit to Jell-O for an extra treat and to help with that sweet tooth.
An exercise program is extremely important. You have to get active. Even when you are eating healthy, you cannot just let the calories sit there. You have to burn the calories off to lose weight.
Finding a good gym is a great idea but if that is not possible you can always find workout programs to do from home. If all else fails, you can walk.
Walking is a great exercise for many reasons other than weight.
Losing weight the safe and healthy way is the best way to go. Change your diet, start exercising and stick to you. Don't get frustrated and just keep working at it. You can do it!
